Jim Musil - Grassy Lake

It’s so peaceful to silently glide across the water in a canoe. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area in far northern Minnesota is a magical wilderness of interconnected lakes and pristine forest. It’s a summer ritual for many here to load up their canoes with food and gear and go into this remote and beautiful treasure for multi-day camping adventures. Thanks to @lauramngirl for letting me use her photo of Grassy Lake as inspiration for this painting. I hope you enjoy the results!
