This art was part of my POP! Showcase in May 2025. Paintings of Prompts, which were focused on 15 randomly generated spring-inspired words, was a one-night-only showcase featuring other MN artists. It was super fun, and a good way to get the spring time vibes up.
POP! Prompt - Ruddy
In this case, I did not go with the first thought I had when brainstorming for the prompt, Ruddy. I think of puffy red-cheeked Campbell soup kids of course. Instead I went with other ruddy characters that I find in my backyard frequently. Cardi B and Cardi C, the cardinal couple that has made our home their home. Their puffy red bellies are so ruddy, and they make me happy every time they visit.
